Delores Fisher's 2019 Comc Con Adventures Part 1

Hello Germany!!!!!!!                         Delores Fisher at Comic Con 2019 Comic Con International San Diego over flowed through East Village's side streets with rollicking fun.I looked around a few days before Comic Con opened. It seemed as if a twilight zone time breach was circled the area.A few promotional television, gamer, and film banners were on buildings. However,  I went to Petco Park and couldn't find the ferris wheel; the Fan Zone wasn't where I expected. I crossed the bridge in anticipation. At the bottom of the bridge, I spotted more activity. However, as I walked to the water front, it had only a few displays with NO PHOTOS PLEASE signs. So, I complied. I continued my walk. Where was the IMDB boat. Maybe tomorrow? Then, I met a cosplayer/panel discussant who hinted at a public Comic Con 2019 educational/literacy event. However, I wai...

In Memory of Poet Extraordinare: Megan Webster July 2019

Hello New Zealand, Ukraine, Philippines, Malaysia, and Brazil! Would you believe that summer break is almost over and it's time to start working on course materials for Fall semester? It's also time to finish all those blog stories I meant to complete in June. I have been resting, strolling, and thinking about so much of this summer's somewhat intense global, local, and national events. I have decided to take an important detour stroll down memory lane first.                                                  Delores Fisher and D. G. Wills in 2019 Dennis Wills is a book store owner in La Jolla California. He also is a strong supporter of the arts. It is here in his book store that I got my start as a young San Diego poet.                 ...

Reba McEntire: A Brief Reflection June 2019

Hello to new readers and to my Notesong Blog followers. As a San Diego California pop culture blogger, I know how big Country music is out West. And, for many, line dancing remains a quite popular weekly fun share out here. Some folks back East and in the South might be surprised, but Country Music is one of the most favorite American musical genres in California, has been for quite a while. https://www.wideopencountry.com/12-best-california-country-music-venues/   San Diego California has a variety of Country and Western clubs, large and small from supper clubs, to bars, dance clubs, to live music.  https://www.yelp.com/search?find_desc=country+western+bar&find_loc=San+Diego%2C+CA Of course most of my readers know that one of my long time favorite Country singers is Reba McEntire.        My folks loved country music. It surprises my friends to find out that I was raised listening to the Grand Ol' Opry which by the way is...

Delores Fisher's April Spring 2019 Photo Moments

Hey there everyone! Shout out to Poland, Canada, and France. It's spring time in San Diego California. We  are having rain, sun, and floral super blooms all over the place, poppies, jacaranda trees, and birds of paradise, oh my!  Since I got such a response to some of my previous posts with photo memories, thought I'd do something unusual: instead of sharing my thoughts in words, I decided to post photos and save my blog article about country and western award winning vocalist and host of the American Country Music Awards 2019, Reba McEntire, for next month.                                      Reba McEntire If you hear the fragility, the sadness, and the grit in her voice, know that like us common folks, her life has not been all happiness. Reba McEntire doesn't pretend that it was or is. And when it comes ro San Diego California, according to an interview, McEntire has a ...
