See Donna Leagh Mathews' brief but informative coverage of the song's origin https://dianaleaghmatthews.com/one-day-at-a-time/ So many changes for all of us as we learn to live with the global reality of COVID as an endemic illness.  It seems we are still divided here in the United States--but a little more respectful--of our choices to mask or not as mandates lift and actual cases lessen. It's nice to take a stroll around our San Diego California pier and Embarcadero as returning tourists and local residents interact without masking issues. Although I must admit, I wish those who don't cover their mouths when they cough or sneeze would try a little harder
