In Memory of Poet Extraordinare: Megan Webster July 2019

Hello New Zealand, Ukraine, Philippines, Malaysia, and Brazil! Would you believe that summer break is almost over and it's time to start working on course materials for Fall semester? It's also time to finish all those blog stories I meant to complete in June. I have been resting, strolling, and thinking about so much of this summer's somewhat intense global, local, and national events. I have decided to take an important detour stroll down memory lane first.                                                  Delores Fisher and D. G. Wills in 2019 Dennis Wills is a book store owner in La Jolla California. He also is a strong supporter of the arts. Delores Fisher's San Diego Comic Fest 2019 Adventures

Celebrating a serious topic with several light touches, this year's San Diego Comic Fest was dedicated to the historic world culture changing Apollo 11 moon landing 50, yes, 50 years ago https://airandspace.si.edu/explore-and-learn/topics/apollo/apollo-program/landing-missions/apollo11.cfm A venue change to the Four Points by Sheraton hotel did not deter Comic Fest 2019 goers. Attendance soared! The now much coveted Fest T shirts sold out on the first day. Many of you know the story behind the creation of San Diego Comic Fest. https://www.sdcomicfest.org/    Smaller and more intimate in scale, San Diego Comic Fest allows for fan, presenter interaction on a less hectic level. I enjoy talking to followers of my work as well as networking with other presenters. This year, I presented with  Ian P. Duckett pop culture mavin, cosplayer, disability advocate, and podcaste
