I am one of several poet/authors who will participate in a reading marathon at the San Diego Central Public Library. The event is free to the public and also has an open mic time slot for those who want to read from their favorite banned book.

According to Literature Librarian Marc Cherry, Barnes and Noble is also having a book fair for the library on October 1 in commemoration of Banned Book Week. 10% of purchases made will go to the library. Library supporters can use vouchers (provided by the library) in the store at the time of purchase or simply tell the cashier that they wish to donate to San Diego Public Library. Here is the line-up so far:
· 12:30 Laurie Macrae
· 1:30 Anna Kalina – (And Tango Makes Three)
· 2:30 Ralph Vaughan – (The Satanic Verses)
· 3:30 Anna Daniels
4:30 Delores Fisher – (I know Why the Caged Bird Sings)
· 5:30 Jennifer Geran
